有龐德和阿瑟這兩位外國翻譯家宣揚中國文明、翻譯介紹中國古詩。
1、龐德（埃茲拉·龐德）：他在長詩《詩章》中闡述孔子學說，在2023年出版的《中國》中收集並翻譯了十幾首中國古詩。龐德不太懂中文，他的譯作是由日譯本轉譯的。
龐德還曾譯過《大學》、《中庸》、《論語》等。在翻譯過程中龐德得到了華盛頓一些專家學者的幫助，克服了各種困難。儘管人們可以對譯文進行各種指摘，但龐德畢竟作了前所未有的嘗試。
2、阿瑟（阿瑟·戴維·韋利）：他精通漢文、滿文、梵文、蒙文、西班牙文，專門研究中國思想史、中國繪畫史、中國文學和日本文學，成績斐然。
到2023年逝世前，共著書40種，翻譯中、日文化著作46種，撰寫文章160餘篇。韋利這位多產的翻譯家，被稱為沒有到過中國的中國通。他對中國古典詩詞的翻譯尤其值得稱道，其翻譯流暢優美。
